Trained as a portrait and documentary photographer with an Masters of Fine Arts degree, Kathleen Clark is the award-winning former Photography Editor (2000-2008) for Los Angeles Magazine. Her feature photography has appeared in Sunset, Los Angeles Magazine, the Los Angeles Times Sunday Magazine, LA Weekly, Preservation, Santa Barbara Magazine, Angeleno and The Village Voice. She has been a visiting faculty member at Art Center College of Design and the University of Southern California. Kathleen has also been a guest lecturer at UCLA, UC Irvine, SF Camerawork, Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions and the Portland Art Museum. She is a regular participant in the annual Palm Springs Photo Festival and has received numerous awards in Photography and Design from the Society of Publication Design, the City and Regional Magazine Awards, as well as grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, Seattle Arts Commission, Oregon Arts Commission and Portland's Metropolitan Arts Commission for her fine art work. Based in Los Angeles, Kathleen Clark has been photographing weddings in a warm documentary style since 1995. She is a rare artist with a terrific eye for the interesting shot and an elegant ability to mesh with wedding guests and participants seamlessly. Kathleen's ability to put people at ease is genuinely appreciated among her many clients. She is respected among celebrities for her discretion and respect for their privacy. Her portfolio includes weddings in California, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, South Carolina, Oregon, Nevada and Hawaii. |
